Have you ever wondered if Acropolis of Athens is accessible to wheelchairs? It actually is.

There are a lift and an elevator on the side of the hill, which can take you all the way up to the top. Keep however in mind that you must arrange the “service” from before, as the elevator is not “self-serviced”. Keep also in mind that in Greece things do not always work as they should, and hence your usage of the service may be unsuccessful due to various reasons each time (bad weather, techncal issues etc.).

Moreover, the new Acropolis Museum is fully accessible, and offers a good view of Parthenon.

Bonus 🙂 : For now you can have a visual tour here:

Hi, I have heard that there is a problem with the lift there, do you know anything about it? Visiting in a week from now.

There was a fuss on the media here, one week ago, about the lift, as it was out of order for quite a long time! Therefore, it was said that they made it work for now, and that they will repair it for good in the near future. However, I cannot find any information about its condition today for example. You will have to rely on luck for this 😛
