Okay, so via the Japan Forum I shared problems, plural, we had with JR (specifically East but also Central, in Takayama-shi, Gifu-ken) refusing to give my son IN A WHEELCHAIR a wheelchair seat on the shinkansen.   Thank you so much for sharing this! It is hearbreaking to hear and makes me worry for the coming parlympics.
  As you mentioned, JR East is much worse than the others, but there shouldn’t be difference and certainly not for those who are GUESTS!
