Free admission for those with disabilities
I was wondering what kind of paperwork I would need to prove I have a disability in order to gain free admission to museums and sites throughout Italy. I’m in the USA, and we don’t have percentages regarding disability, so I’m confused as to what I need.
Has anyone taken the train in Italy? It looks fairly accessible, but there don’t seem to be windows for wheelchair users… can someone clarify?

I see what you mean with windows – but trains are different from one another, some will have windows some not, I was seated near the wheelchair space recently, going down from Venice to Bologna, and there was a window, but the space for the wheelchair is a separate space, which sometimes has just that white wall, so not necessarity the window…
