Accessible beach near(ish) Tokyo
Kamakura is about an hour from Tokyo and is one of the main centers for surfers in the Tokyo area.
Yuigahama Beach opens up restaurants and bars on the beach in July and August every year and have started to make the facilities accessible as well.
There is a long pathway made from mats and planks that goes most of the beach, and up to the water in some areas. A beach wheelchair is available on weekends. And there is an accessible toilet (or two?).

It is too bad they don’t leave the mats around all year – even if you don’t go in the water, it can be nice to walk on the beach year round…
