Public Continent
Group Description
Join conversations with travelers with disabilities and welcoming locals, sharing tips on accessible hotels, wheelchair-friendly attractions, and transportation across Europe. From Paris’ Eiffel Tower and Rome’s Colosseum to the fjords of Norway, the beaches of Greece, and the castles of Germany, whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, this is the place to ask about accommodations, getting around, or inclusive activities – someone here has likely experienced it before. You’ll find first-hand reviews, travel tips, and recommendations for cultural, historical, and nature experiences. This group welcomes mobility aid users, plus travelers with autism, low vision, and hearing impairments, helping you enjoy a more accessible Europe adventure.

I try not to worry about getting back for dialysis, a day late isn’t too much of an issue as my renal unit are very accommodating and manage to fit me in the next day.
I was thinking in September about asking to have a pre-arranged extra day off (move a Monday to a Tuesday) to get a 3 day break for my birthday weekend, but being delayed by a day getting home has now made me think again about that. I have been travelling over 42 years and that was the first time ever I have had a flight cancelled. 🙂
The theme for my trips last year seemed to be cities beginning with ‘B’ plus one random destination, it is looking like this years theme could be islands that still have paper £1 notes plus one random; in the UK we haven’t had a paper £1 since the introduction of the £1 coin in 1983. My next two trips are likely to be the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.
