I find it really frustrating when accessible infrastructure is built but then is always out of service. A new study sheds light on the travel patterns and obstacles faced by European travellers with mobility and accessibility needs. They found the biggest challenges to be:
- Information and Planning
- Transportation
- Accommodation
- Cost Concerns
What are your biggest challenges?
Knowing if the pavements and roads will be accessible. Hoping that there’s enough accessible shops, cafes, tourist attractions that are without barriers to enter. Wondering where I might find an accessible toilet when out and about, getting pleasantly lost as I explore new surroundings.
