@Anita3777 Hello Anita-san,
We hope you have a wonderful trip to Tokyo!
“All” local trains and subway stations in the Tokyo area have elevators and are wheelchair accessible. Therefore, you can basically use the trains, but during morning and evening rush hours, stations and trains may be crowded, and you may have some difficulty getting onto the train in a wheelchair. During daytime hours, there should be no problems.
Of course, using wheelchair taxis or wheelchair ramp car charters will make your travel even more comfortable!
There are many taxis available in the city, and regular taxis (JPN Taxi) can only accommodate small-sized wheelchairs. In this case, one additional passenger can accompany the wheelchair user.

If you need a large wheelchair taxi, you will not be able to find one in the city, so it is necessary to make a reservation in advance.
It is also a good idea to use the services of tabifolk members!
There are also buses, but when they are crowded, it may not be possible to board with a wheelchair. Trains, subways, and taxis are more reliable.
We are a travel agency specializing in wheelchair travel, so
we can assist with arrangements for wheelchair-accessible hotels, wheelchair taxis, wheelchair car charter daytrip tours… and anything else you may need!
If you have any requests, please feel free to ask us via direct message!
Have fun planning your wonderful trip! 😄
