Accessible Taxis in Oarai?
Accessible Taxis in Oarai?
Posted by Josh Grisdale on March 31, 2025 at 12:31 pmHello,
Does anyone have any suggestions for accessible taxis in Oarai around Hitachi Flower Park?

Do you mean Oarai the seaside town with the aquarium? It’s not really close to the flower park unless you meant the seaside park with amusement rides.
I’m going to both, so I was looking for a taxi company to get between the two as they are far apart as you mentioned.
Wakarimasu. I used to live in Hokota (BW-before wheelchair) and its all country roads with the occasional rice planting machine. But the people are friendly. I don’t remember an elevator at Oarai, but I wasn’t looking for them at the time at this would be around 2003-2008. No idea about Taxis except they did hang around Oarai station.
@joshgrisdale Hi Josh-san,
This wheelchair taxi company said they also offer travel use.
Uluru Katsuta : http://www.icfs-uluru.com/
Also, if you don’t mind a smaller car, this wheelchair taxi company was very accommodating.
Rizen : https://rizen-life1.studio.site/home
Have a nice trip in Oarai!
Thank you so much!
Just a follow up, I used Rizen and they were incredibly helpful. Highly recommended. (Though they don’t speak English so getting @wtj etc to help you book may be a good idea.)
That’s great to hear! We’re glad our recommendation was helpful to you.
Yes, of course, not only in Oarai, but anywhere in Japan, we can arrange wheelchair taxis, so please feel free to request one!
