Posted by Bren on March 22, 2024 at 8:57 amI have stupidly left my medications at the last hotel, which is too far to retrieve. How can I organise a Dr in Kyoto as they are prescription drugs.

Oh no!
Kyoto city has a list you can find here – https://www.kcif.or.jp/web/en/livingguide/hospitals/
Do you have medical insurance? It could end up being very expensive if you don’t since medical fees are only subsidized for people in the national medical system. So, be sure to get an understanding of what it will cost and if your travel insurance covers it before you actually see the Dr.
It may be best to have your last hotel send the medications by courier. Have your current hotel call them and see if the cleaning staff found them.
Keep us posted.
I suggest that you contact the hotel who willingly post them to you if they can be located.
This happened to me, and the medications were promptly returned.
Yes, my current hotel is contacting previous hotel, but they are not responding so far.
I did msg them last night, but no reply.
Thank you for the hospital link. The hotel suggest that is my best option.
The concierge have arranged for them to be sent by courier. I will have them today. Thanks guys.
That is such a relief. Thank you for letting us know!
