all trains are accessible .
For shinkansen, if you book, you can put your wheelchair in a specific place and stay on it.
It was not difficult to take train when we were in Japan.

Unlike commuter trains, you need to get special tickets for the Romancecar, but unless it very busy you can typically get the tickets the same day.
The view isn’t really anything different, but the seating etc is nicer.
Do you know if the observation deck has accessibility?
Unfortunately, the observation car is at the very front but the accessible seating is in the middle of the train.
No point taking the romance car then I suppose. Probably see just as much on a standard train. Thanks for the info guys.
