Ropeway and cable car accessibility in Kobe

Hello everyone. I am new here, but I will be going on my 6th trip to Japan in about 2 months. I can walk short distances and stand for extended periods, but I use a mobility scooter for traveling. In particular, I use a folding atto scooter (https://us.movinglife.com/products/atto-mobility-scooter)

I will be going to Kobe on my next trip, and I am interested in taking the nunobiki ropeway and possibly the Mt rokko cable car (I’m not sure, but after studying Google maps it appears there may actually be two separate cable cars).

I am wondering if my scooter will be okay for these, or what my options might be if not (my scooter is 120 cm long in drive mode (more than the apparent 114 cm limit for the ropeway], but can fold into trolley mode). @joshgrisdale was kind enough to have written an article on accessible Japan about the nunobiki ropeway , which led me to have further questions. Thanks also to @ohayotravel for directing me to this community.

Yeah, the length is the biggest challenge.

My chair with footrests is about 110cm and my feet stick out the end, so had to angle them well to fit and they had to push the door a bit.

So, it is a hard limit I think.

What is it like in compact mode?

Tried to attach a picture here, but it doesn’t seem to accept jpegs. Here’s a link (https://us.movinglife.com/cdn/shop/products/atto-4modes_2048x.jpg?v=1672729978). Dimensions are below:

      Trolley Mode
      Height 28” / 71 cm
      Length 15.3” / 38.9 cm
      Width 16.5” / 41.9 cm

I will have someone with me, so they can pull the scooter in trolley mode behind them (as long as the “car” slows down enough for me to be able to board / disembark).

Do anyone know anything about the Mt Rokko cable car (or cars, since there seem to be two)?

Hmmm not sure why the picture didn’t attach. Will look into it.

Anyway, when I went they pretty much stopped the cable car, so there shouldn’t be a problem if you fold it and get in.
