    Hello all,
we continue gathering informations about Northern Japan and what we can do there with my electric wheelchair. We found a nice shrine near Aomori that seems really amazing, but we have some difficulties finding accessibility informations. It is said that it is difficult because of gravel and steep slopes. But it should not be a real problem with my electric wheelchair, I would like to know if someone have been there and tell a real advice. The map of the shrine shows alternative ways without stairs, so I think it should be doable.

    Any advice ?

Often slopes are not concretes and at best gravel roads. Is it ik too?

Looking to the Gmaps photos, it looks like this is concrete everywhere, lucky !

I asked if alternate paths exist everywhere stairs are present.

      I’ll keep you in touch.

Sadly the answer is not helping that much. Though some useful information to make your opinion anyway.

Regarding your inquiry about visiting with an electric wheelchair, we would like to provide the following information.

We sincerely apologize, but the path on our shrine grounds, especially the one leading to the Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates), has many stairs. While there are some sloped paths, they are very steep, and for safety reasons, we do not recommend using them with a wheelchair.

Unfortunately, we currently do not have alternative routes, such as ramps or elevators, to bypass the stairs. Therefore, it would be extremely difficult to ensure a safe visit even with an electric wheelchair.

There is a rest area with a ramp available near the parking lot at the foot of the mountain where you can stay comfortably.

We are truly sorry that we cannot meet your expectations and kindly ask for your understanding.

I find some video to visit.

It is not enough, but I hope it will help you.
