G’day folks! I’ve been to Australia a couple of times, but always on the eastern side. Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne… I am curious about the western side, though. Any recommendations? What is Perth like? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for accessible tour operators in Australia? (Can be anywhere!)

Here are two Australian travel businesses specialising in accessible travel:
1) AccessibleOz – https://accessibleoz.com/
2) Amplify – https://amplifyats.com.au/
Australia also has a quality assurance program within the tourism industry so if you see tour operators displaying any of the logos (image attached) you know that they have been…

I am in WA now for 2 weeks. First time ever! Not as busy as Syd or Melb, but I personally enjoy it ☺️
Can’t comment on the tour as we rent car to drive up to Kalbarri & down to Margareth River, with stops in between.
Perth CBD easy to get by using wheelchair. There’s free CAT bus too with wheely ramp. Rottnest Island also accessible.. lots…

What do I need to charge my 11Ah lithium battery for my Pride Go Go Super Portable mobility scooter in Japan? What type of adapter and do I need a power inverter also? Appreciate your help so it will not damage the battery or cause a fire.

Good morning.
The photo you sent is a bit blurry so I can’t fully understand it. There are two pieces of information I would like to know. First, which country are you using it in? Or, what voltage is the country you live in? By the way, Japan is 100 volts. Therefore, if your country is 200 volts, you will need a transformer to charge it in…

I am in Hawaii, USA. The charger has a 3 prong think you call it Type B. Here’s another photo of the lithium battery label. Hipe it’s clear this time. Thank you. I bought an adapter for Japan’s wall sockets but now not sure if it’s the correct type and if I also need an inverter.

A new study sheds light on the travel patterns and obstacles faced by European travellers with mobility and accessibility needs. They found the biggest challenges to be:
- Information and Planning
- Transportation
- Accommodation
- Cost Concerns
What are your biggest challenges?

Knowing if the pavements and roads will be accessible. Hoping that there’s enough accessible shops, cafes, tourist attractions that are without barriers to enter. Wondering where I might find an accessible toilet when out and about, getting pleasantly lost as I explore new surroundings.

I am a congenitally disabled person who needs to use an electric wheelchair throughout the whole process. In July, I will go to Miyako Island for a cruise tour. I want to know if there is a wheelchair taxi or other means of transportation on the island.
-
Hello,
There are a few taxis on the island and that is likely the best way to get around. You can see them here: https://caretaxi-net.com/taxi/kyushu_okinawa/okinawa/miyakojima/
But unfortunately they look to only be contactable by phone…
Perhaps @wtj can create a tour for you using one of them?
