Huh interesting! Even though I am a power wheelchair user, I have never thought about this! That is why sharing info is so important.
It would be great to have these in restaurants as well.

Interesting Idea, couldn’t hurt to have them. For myself, my chair usually lasts a week+ on a charge, however I do carry a compact charger in a backpack with me everywhere just in case, just need an outlet. I have only used it once at a friends house when I forgot to check my level, I try to make sure I’m charged up prior to any long trips otherwise.

I don’t have a good picture of my chair at the moment, but here’s a link to the manufacturers website for it (I only have tilt and mine is blue!): http://www.permobil.com/en-GB/English/C/Products/F3-Corpus/
As for the compact charger, It’s a Quickie brand BATC5 model battery charger, I got it with my last chair but was told by my wheelchair tech that it would work with this chair too (I believe it was sold as a universal charger). I’m having trouble finding any official information on it, so it may be a model not sold directly to the public or perhaps discontinued for cheaper alternatives, there seems to be many other small chargers in the market now. In any case, I must recommend consulting a Wheelchair Technician or, probably best, your wheelchair manufacturer and inquire about compatibility prior to buying any such charger (I definitely can’t tell you what is a compatible unit, and having a healthy respect for anything using electricity I leave such things to the professionals).-
Always a good idea to leave it to the pros – have fried battery chargers before on the advice of non pros before 🙁
