Well, had a similar experience once in Tokyo Disneysea’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. But I guess they are more worried about the safety when “what ifs” scenario. Unlike other theme parks, I do noticed that Japan theme parks tend to ask you quite a lot of questions mostly on the “what ifs”. I’m cool with some but the people at ‘20,000 leagues under the sea’ may had gone a bit too far.

That, unfortunately, is is due to the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. I rode on splash mountain before 2011 with three other wheelchair users! But after 2011, you must be able to evacuate by yourself at any point in the ride…
