I’m not sure if this is awesome or terrifying… I have slid many times in my chair…

Haha! that’s not for me. Ages ago at a MDA summer camp, I did “controlled” slides in my wheelchair over pieces of plywood that had some sand on it (essentially our path to Lake Tahoe beach-side), a bit tricky to steer so a few time was enough for me. However, it “inspired” a few other kids to try… well one younger kid went off the plywood, hit the sand knocking him and his wheelchair sideways. Luckily, he wasn’t hurt, actually he was laughing the entire time and want to try again, but the councilors made it a “no-sliding zone” from then on. So, my near-wipeout and witnessing the other kids actual-wipeout was enough for me and doing any such sliding/skiing.

Hahaha Did the same thing on ice when I was a kid – slid sideways until the ice ended then flipped my whole chair on its side. Don’t think I learned though…
