Always great to see companies work to make experiences even smoother. What challenges do you face at Disney Land or other theme parks?

Well,…things are not what they appear to be.
I’m a huge Disney fan. I was an Annual Passholder at Disneyland for 4 years (’15-’19). I recently went to Walt Disney World this past November.
The Parks have made it less easy to get a Disability Access Service (DAS) pass. Their goal is to try to convince you they don’t need one as much as possible. And, you either can do an advance voice call, which can put in a several-hour queue just to get through and requires all those needing one to be present, even if the one needing it is unable to express their needs.
Or, you can wait in the elements at the Parks to get one in person. I did it this way. When I ‘plead my case’ on why I needed one, the Cast Member tried to convince me that I didn’t need one, even though I was born with a disability, am fully knowledgeable about my disability, and have gone to Disneyland since 1980.
If you decide to get a DAS, have a lot of patience.-
Thanks for this! PR is always good at putting a spin on things, so, it is great to hear from someone with actual experience. 👍
