We’ve been really excited about the discussions currently ongoing about accessible travel, destinations and venues. It’s great to see Government and SME’s finally coming to the table and really interested in engaging with our community. We recently shared this article about accessible Canberra (link below) and I wondered if anyone wanted to reflect on whether they are seeing any changes from their part of Australia. I live on Ngunnawal Country in the beautiful Australian Capital city of Canberra and was blown away by work the team at VisitCanberra have done this year to improve accessibility. We provided a report post Enlighten 2022 and we’ve been so proud of the ACTION they’ve actually taken. There is so much work to be done but we’re grateful for the gains.
