• About three weeks ago we have returned from 24 day trip to Vietnam. Vietnam has been on my bucket list for a long time but tour operators in my home country told me that travelling in Vietnam was impossible. I did not give up and found a local tour operator, MAIKA TOURS, who was prepared to put together a bespoke travel itinerary for us (me in a manual foldable wheelchair and my husband). It is truly amazing what the team of MAIKA TOURS organised for us. We visited Hanoi, 3 day cruise in Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Danang, Saigon and Mekong Delta. If anybody is interested in visiting this fascinating country with its helpful and friendly people I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

I traveled there with my father, who uses a wheelchair, and we also found the locals incredibly helpful, especially in Saigon. Having the right support makes all the difference! We relied on some great accessibility tips from this Vietnam travel guide, https://gowithguide.com/vietnam/, which helped us plan routes and spots that worked well for us.
