I would strongly recommend getting in touch with and going to Togakushi in Nagano as the people at the “Universal Tourism Desk” have done a lot of work into importing outdoor use wheelchairs for enjoying nature.
If you are into scuba diving and don’t mind flying down to Amami Ojima, there is a place to do adapted scuba and other marine sports as well.
