The ryokan was a little over $785 for the single night in a private Onsen room. It included the kaiseiki dinner and Japanese breakfast. TokudAw found and booked the ryokan for us. It was excellent.
We hired TokudAw because we’re retired, husband has wheelchair, and we wanted to splurge a little for our first-time Japan visit. Their private tour guide and private drivers, luxury SUV and local dining recommendations made us feel comfortable without stress. Tour guide handled the tickets, translations, and found accessible paths. Drivers carefully handled loading the wheelchair. The chauffeurs costs was about $700 per day including road tolls and their accommodation.
We used up our hotel points whenever we could in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima. So that helped us little bit.
Our cost to TokudAw services with excellent private tour guide and wonderful careful private drivers was under $10K. Well worth not having to deal with tickets and transportation.
