Reply To: Yokohama Cruise
@DMC62 Hi David-san,
A cruise from Yokohama sounds wonderful!
As you found out, most accessible rooms in Japanese hotels have bathtubs, because as you know, Japanese people love taking baths!
So, here are some 4 star or higher hotels in Yokohama that have bathtubs but also have spacious shower areas that are accessible for wheelchairs and shower chairs;
2 beds room
The Kahala Hotel & Resort https://thekahala.jp/en/yokohama/
1 bed room
InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 https://www.icyokohama-pier8.com/en/
Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier https://www.gardenhotels.co.jp/yokohama-minatomirai-premier/eng/
There are often no photos or room plans on the web, but if you make an enquiry, they will tell you the details.
There are also quite a few accessible rooms at Japanese hotels that only accept reservations by “telephone”, so if you are having difficulties with reservations, we can make arrangements for you, so please send us a direct message on tabifolk.
Have a great stay!
