From Tokyo’s bustling Shibuya Crossing and historic Asakusa to Kyoto’s golden Kinkaku-ji, Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, and the hot springs of Hakone, whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, this is the place to ask about accommodations, getting around, or inclusive activities – someone here has likely experienced it before. You’ll find personal stories, travel tips, and recommendations for cultural, historical, and nature experiences. This group supports mobility aid users, along with travelers who have sensory sensitivities, low vision, and hearing loss, helping you enjoy a more accessible Japan adventure.

New Wheelchair Rental at Haneda
Some of you here are probably aware of this, but a new wheelchair rental service has started at Haneda Airport Terminal 3. They rent normal manual wheelchairs as well as a light-weight power wheelchairs that is foldable and self-standing.
You can get it at the airport, take it anywhere while you are traveling in Japan, and bring it back there.
It says it is a trial started late February till the end of March but I heard it will continue after April 1, 2025.
