Yes, a hotel would be out of the question for sure. There are Airbnbs that may work and a local version from Rakuten – https://vacation-stay.com/ (maybe @hemanthraz can comment since he works there).
My I ask what your visit is for? Since a regular tourist visa only lasts 3 months, I assume you are coming to study? If so, your school may be able to arrange an apartment for you.
