    Hi everyone,

    We are enjoying Japan so much and also the great trains. However, getting tickets is sometimes hard at the counters.

    We used Smart-ex when possible. We need to book 2 wheelchairs seats shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin- Fuji Station but when we try to do it, this error message below occurs.

    I have checked the station information and it seems to be accessible. Any ideas how we can get it? Of course Japanese people are super helpful and we can go to the counter but it would mean wasting time waiting for long process about ticketing wheelchair.

    So any experiencie/tip we can use to make it work through SmartEx?

    I like to know too if reserving wc seat is possible online. I couldn’t do it via the official JR website reservation either.

    @msp Marcsubiron-san,

    I just called the information center and asked,

    and they said that wheelchair seats can be reserved online using the EX app for only Shinkansen “Nozomi” trains on the Tokaido Shinkansen line.

    Since “Nozomi” does not stop at Shin-Fuji, they said it cannot be selected. (What a shame!)

      @msp Marcsubiron-san,

      If you have not yet departed for your trip, we can arrange tickets for you, but if you are already in Japan, it would be better to go to the station counter.

      If you would like to request a ticket reservation for a several days in advance, please feel free to ask us!

    I think you have to do it over the counter. My friend told me that telephone reservation is possible but you may need to speak in Japanese.
