Group Description
Meet and learn from travelers with disabilities and welcoming locals, offering tips on accessible hotels, wheelchair-friendly attractions, and transportation in Romania. From the medieval streets of Brașov and the fairytale castles of Transylvania to Bucharest’s historic Old Town and the natural beauty of the Danube Delta, whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, this is the place to ask about accommodations, getting around, or inclusive activities – someone here has likely experienced it before. You’ll find first-hand reviews, travel tips, and recommendations for cultural, historical, and nature experiences. This group welcomes mobility aid users, as well as travelers with hearing impairments, autism, and low vision, helping you enjoy a more accessible Romania adventure.

Reply To: Is Peles Castle in Romania wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it is possible to visit but only the ground floor. Before visiting the castle, you need an appointment because the accessible parking is located in a restricted area and there is also a special entrance, not the usual one. The staff is very nice and helpful and during the visit they will assist the guest with mobile ramps because inside the castle there are some stairs. The 1st floor is not accessible.
