Lightweight manual wheelchair rental? Logistics of wheelchair rental?
I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user living in the US. Usually I use canes daily. I can walk ~1km, or stand ~10min (less as the day goes on), before I need to sit or switch to my wheelchair. My wheelchair is manual, self-propel, 24lb, foldable, 18” width. It has removable foot plates. I am planning on visiting Japan for ~2.5 weeks during cherry…

Thanks for sharing! I knew they were accessible but had never seen it in action. Really fast load times – wish the ones in Japan were that fast – the ramp is separate and folded up so takes time to assemble etc

Hello all! I will be travelling to tokyo next month with my brother who uses a wheelchair. Does anyone know of any wheellchair accessible places we can go besides the main popular attractions please I’m stuck. Thank you

Reply to Journey Behind the Falls experience at Niagara Falls in a wheelchair
Two weeks ago I was in Niagara falls with my wife, our daughter and my in-laws! We did behind the falls and my wheelchair passed everywhere. (larger hospital-type wheelchair, waiting for my manual one!)
I also found that a lot of the places were accessible, which is nice!
