My insurance company is still denying my claim for a new leg and socket, so until then, it’s biking instead of hiking videos. Fun Fact: I learned to ride a bike with my prosthetic before walking without crutches. 🙂 Here’s my latest biking video from Washington state. https://youtu.be/H2jCrlChD9Y
Josh Grisdale7 CommentsSorry to hear about the insurance issues, but glad you thought of a way to keep making great content!
Loved your video. We bike with a trail behind bike for our adult son who is unable to bike. We post videos too. I hope you don’t mind but I have questions. Your video is so stable what do you use to get the camera not to jump around when riding and your transition between scenes is so smooth what editing platform are you using. I subscribed to your channel and plan to watch at the gym when on the treadmill or bike.
@betsy Betsy, I use an Akaso Brave 6+ with the stabilization on. It’s a GoPro copy and much cheaper, not quite as good, but good enough. Using attachment devices, (you can buy a kit with devices for attaching to helmets and bikes on Amazon), I put the camera in various places on the bike and film from those angles. For editing I use Movavi Video Editor and watched a lot of how to videos from other folks on YouTube on how to use it properly. I hope this helps. 🙂
I’ve been there with the insurance struggles! I had to fight for 6 months for my first c-leg. Luckily never anything that extensive since, but I’ve had rigmarole of denial and appeal.
@learnersandmakers The insurance company has finally relented. Just in time to get in some fall hikes I hope!
