Ghibli museum and Tokyo Disney
The Ghibli Museum is very accessible, though Mitaka is a bit out of the way. When I was there I took the train, and stopped on the way at Inokashira Zoo to see their enclosed Squirrel Trail. Nakano Broadway is also relatively close by, which is great for anime fans (it was Akihabara before Akihabara, essentially).

Ropeway and cable car accessibility in Kobe
Thanks. After checking the Ropeway’s website more thoroughly, they do explicitly say that they will stop in order to allow boarding. They also add that as many as 3 companions can go with the wheelchair user.
I was also able to confirm that the Rokko Arima Ropeway is wheelchair accessible. I plan to visit there as well.

Disability certificate and mobility scooter
Perhaps because of the relatively small size, I will mention that I’ve never had trouble using my mobility scooter on a subway or local train (have boarded hundreds of subway cars at this point). The shinkansen is another matter, probably because of how quickly they expect you to board/disembark. They tend to be very cautious with that, and I…
