I used to volunteer for a charity called Richmond Aid, the CEO was deaf and could lip read incredibly well. The only time he took an interpreter with him was when the meeting was incredibly important and therefore he was amazingly able😀

That’s wonderful to see . Many people are successful despite the hearing. When travelling we don’t know how to read another country’s language on lips. I use translation apps but with masks and foreign accents and tones it’s challenging
