Japan outside of the big cities
Outside of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, what places are you interested in visiting in Japan?
Has accessibility made it hard to get to them?

Wheelchair Accessible Entrance in Google Maps
Hello, in looking for wheelchair-friendly spots I’m curious how useful / accurate Google Maps “Wheelchair-Accessible Entrance” flag is, especially for Tokyo restaurants and coffeehouses (pink circled icon, you can also filter by those that are.) Any opinions/insights/findings from others?

From experience, I feel that in general it errs towards caution and places are by default set to be “not accessible” until marked as “accessible”. So, if it has the mark it should be ok, but if it has a “not” mark, it could mean it is not accessible, or just not yet verified.

The issues are not connected, just in case you were wondering. I am an accessible and inclusive travel agent. I love what I do. I am a Certified Autism Travel Professional and…
