This is excellent – my soulmate and I want to go to Japan, both of us would need wheelchairs, but she was of the opinion that Tokyo wasn’t good for a wheelchair user.

I would like to travel with my elderly Mom to Japan. She can stand and walk for very short distances but can not stand for longer than 5 minutes without her cane. And can not walk more than 1 city block. We can travel without her electric wheelchair through the airports but once we arrive to Japan are their daily wheelchair rentals available?

This wasn’t our room. I snuck into the room on embarkation day, and it was the first time I had seen that type of door mechanism! I’m sure it is probably very easy to operate!
