Look online with the airline but when u call to book your ticket let them know you are handicapped and if you have your own wheelchair let them know you would like help getting to your gate and let them know if u need help getting on the plane. My mom is coming to Japan for several months and I will push her around. What brand and model of wheelchair would you recommend? we would like something very light and portable to use for public transportation around Japan. Any price point is fine. Looking to buy a Japanese wheelchair and i live in Tokyo.

That is a bit too long for a rental, so buying is a good way to go.
Will your mother sit in it the whole time, or get out of it from time to time?
Will she push herself sometimes, or will she be pushed?

She will get out from time to time, she can walk for about 30 min. She will be pushed the entire time. Thank you!
