Hiroshima Trains/trams wheelchair access.
It’d be pretty tight for a one day trip depending on the Shinkansen tickets. Anyway, if you have the chance to go to the south again, you should give it a try.

From Hiroshima’s Main Station you can take a tramway that will take you to the Dome (the stop is Genbaku Dome-mae of the red or yellow lines from Hiroshimaeki stop at the train station). Segway as disability vehicle in Japan?
In order to bring a mobility device onto public transportation in Japan it cannot surpass a certain size in width, height and length (height was 90cm I think). As said, a handbike would be alright on the street, but not possible to get on trains and such, much less if it’s a one piece handbike.
