• Hi. Can anyone recommend an accessible or barrier free hotel in Narita or close by that is suitable for a power wheelchair user and is relatively economical? We had to change our flight plans and are now leaving one day later and from Narita Airport.

      • Is Yokohama too far for you? When checking hotels, the APA Hotel & Resort Yokohama Bay Tower confirmed they have a barrier free room that should fit my powerchair and the prices were not that bad considering the area (about 70€/night beginning of November). We dismissed it in the end because I’m high risk for infection and they couldn’t confirm if their air purifier had a HEPA filter, so we didn’t feel really safe staying in such a behemoth of an hotel (they have over 2300 rooms!) for some days. But if that’s ok for you for only 1 night it will consider it (and just mask overnight in my case). One of my husband colleagues is staying there during their conference and they have good reviews online. The complaint is basically small rooms, but that should be ok for you in their accessible room.

        • Thanks. I’ll look at it. We are getting off a cruise the 25th, but we’ll need to be back at Narita Airport by the 26th, and will have the problem of moving our luggage along with the hoist.
