My name is Ketan Hantodkar, and I’m writing this with a humble heart full of dreams and hope. I wish to visit your beautiful country—Japan, a land I deeply admire for its blend of spirituality, culture, nature, and kindness. I want to begin my dream of seeing the world from Japan, with my younger brother beside me.
Both of us have faced a lifetime of medical and personal struggles. I live with multiple rare health conditions like connective tissue disorder, H syndrome, Rosai-Dorfman disease, and hearing problems. My brother, too, has severe medical conditions and is deaf and mute. Life hasn’t been easy, but despite our limitations, we have always tried to live with courage, serve our community through social work and eye camps, and keep hope alive in our hearts.
We come from a modest family background and cannot afford expensive hotels or luxury tours. But we don’t seek luxury—only love, understanding, and an opportunity to explore your beautiful country, feel the peace in its temples, soak in the nature of places like Shirakawa-go, and feel alive among the lights of Akihabara.
I am looking for:
A local person, family, or volunteer who can help us plan an affordable, peaceful journey in Japan.
Any hosting families or budget homestays (temple stays, farmhouses, village homes, or those open to cultural exchange).
Tour operators who are kind and experienced with disabled travelers.
Anyone who understands our limitations and is willing to guide us with compassion and care.
We want to travel not just for fun, but to fulfill a spiritual wish—to see the beauty of life before our health limits us any further. I also want to document this journey to inspire others with disabilities to never give up on their dreams.
If you know anyone who can host, guide, or assist in any way, or if you are someone who believes in humanity and empathy, please reach out.
You can contact me on WhatsApp +919766245500 or Instagram. I’m happy to share more about myself and my journey if needed.
Thank you for reading. I believe kindness has no borders, and Japan is the best place for us to begin this chapter.
