The Ivy Restaurant Windsor
We had a memorable supper at The Ivy Restaurant last month. We couldn’t believe how tall our waiter was (he’s 6’8″), an absolutely charming young man (as you’d expect from such an iconic restaurant). The restaurant is just opposite Windsor Castle, and we had the perfect table as we could see the video playing on the Tower of Windsor Castle! …
Lovely! The Ivy was always my go to restaurant for special occasions ❤️

Airplane improvements for accessibility
Hello!
I have the opportunity to talk with a major airline about challenges and possible improvements for accessibility.
They want a variety of perspectives so I wanted to ask here about the needs and hopes of everyone.
The discussion has mostly to do with the airplane itself but all ideas are welcome!
What is a challenge for you onboard?…
View more commentsMuch appreciation for being a part of this important collaboration! Some important things, although not comprehensive, are assuring an aisle chair is on board and in working condition, have movable arm rests for transfers from the aisle chair into traditional seats, have restrooms which are appropriately sized and equipped (ie grab bars)…

plan a trip to Tokyo and Kyoto
Hi everyone,
We are a family of 5 (parents and 3 adult children) planning to visit Japan for the first time at the end of March, for two weeks (Tokyo and Kyoto). Not sure where to start and looking for help planning the trip, especially with regards to booking hotels. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, trouble finding accessible rooms…
View more commentsI read that Accessible Japan is a good starting point. I’m planning a trip in April myself so I’m in the same boat. Most of the hotels don’t seem to have email addresses and since I’m the US and don’t speak Japanese, using the phone is not an option.

As @Castleboston mentioned, we have some listings on Accessible Japan but it is still just a drop in the bucket. A travel agent may be the best option.
