Is there any recommendations for wheelchair accessible bars in Shinjuku Kubichiko/golden gai
5 CommentsThat will be very challenging 😥
Is your goal just a drink at a bar, or that goldengai atmosphere?
when are you coming to Japan?
I’m in Shinjuku right now. At the Keio Plaza, Hotel. I’m heading out with my brothers if they want to go to kabuchiko. A good place to drink that can fit a wheelchair would be good. A few steps wouldn’t be an issue, but a flight of stairs would be difficult. Basically, I just need a place where they can fit a 25 inch wide chair through the door and not be run over by people.
Have you considered Tokyu Kabukicho Tower? There is a bunch of restaurants/bars that sorta have a golden gai atmosphere. It’s wc accessible with access to wc toilet facility.

1Explore Kabukicho’s Larger Establishments:
Adjacent to Golden Gai, Kabukicho offers a variety of bars and restaurants that are more spacious and modern. Some venues here are more accommodating to wheelchair users, with wider entrances and accessible facilities.
