Pamiloo!
I recently went to Glasgow to see Green Day perform and came across a fully accessible toilet by a charity called Pamiloo!
Owned by Pamis, they have converted a horse box into a loo with a hoist, adult changing facilities and room for those with neurodivergent diagnosis to go and have a break. It’s all been done by public funding to allow those with complex disabilities to attend outside entertainment without worrying where to go for changing room.
Unfortunately Pamis it’s only available in Scotland, there are providers of these kinds of facilities in other places in the UK but these have to be paid for my the venue.
I had a zoom chat with Fiona Souter, one of the main workers for Pamis and she was very informative, speaking about what brought about the idea of Pamiloo and the purple they support.
It’s proper like Fiona that make concerts and festivals so inclusive for us all 💞
