About me

I planned my life to be able to travel when I retired, but life’s plan for me to become disabled was not quite way  I thought it would happen.  I am fortunate enough to have the ability and means to travel so now that is what I intend to do. 2024 is the first year I am able to do this and I am lucky to have family members as caregivers to help me out at first but I have plans to travel solo eventually. My two children are in college so I try to do everything I can to help them out versus the other way around. I like to have fun, but I can also be a homebody when I’m not traveling.

Places Visited

Prior to my disability, I had done extensive travel across the US, to Germany, New Zealand, and Mexico.  I join my parents as snowbirds in Florida for a few weeks each winter. This year I will be using a power wheelchair for traveling that I have yet to buy. I intend to go to Vegas for the first time, road trip to Colorado, and spend a week in a cabin on a lake in fall… for now. There may be some additions. Next spring I am going to Europe, starting in France along the Rhine and traveling down to northern Italy.
