MemberI will be travelling to Japan in October this year. I use Coloplast Speedicath which combines a catheter with a bag. These don’t exist in Japan (checked Coloplast JP). It’s a pain since the 20 boxes I will need weigh a total of 22Kgs, maxing out one suitcase. Is there some weird Japanese rule preventing this? I know technically after use…
petecI remain in my seat and (discretely) use a catheter bag that my wife takes and empties for me.
Accessible accommodation in tokyo, Mt Fuji and Kyoto.
The Hotel chain Toyota-Inn has wheelchair accessible ‘Heartfelt rooms’. They are everywhere all over Japan
Disability certificate and mobility scooter
You can’t get a Japanese Disability Certificate if you’re not a resident of Japan. I’m bringing my Canadian Proof of Disability and getting the The Help Badge you can get in Tokyo to (hopefully) get recognized as disabled (even though I am in a wheelchair and it should be obvious).

University Accessibility in Japan?
My concern for Akita is I believe they get a lot of snow which makes it difficult to navigate. Trust me, I live in Canada. Otherwise, hit their websites and Google maps to check the street conditions around the university, could be deciding factor.
