In my experience there is often poor communication between the airline and the ground crew. Despite filling out all the required information on the website, I still have to remind the crew it’s my own wheelchair and then they contact the ground crew. 😔

I am here in Japan as we speak and I’m using a WHILL mobility scooter and travelled from Ginza to Shibuya on the Ginza line today. Both train staions are accessible which is great but when I lined up at the disabilty spot to board the train the step up from the platform was too tall for me to drive on. I had to disengage my brakes and my family…

Hello,
Before you go to the tracks, when you go through the ticket gate, you can ask staff for a ramp (but called a slope here) to get on and off the train.
