• Good Day I need to rent a Joy Cart for my sister who has a very bad ankle sprain. Could anyone explain what the difference would be between the shielded battery and removeable battery type as well as the type for overseas users? Thanks so much 🙂

      • You will be renting it in Japan, or bringing it with you?

        • @joshgrisdale I would like to rent it for my sister in Osaka, take it with us to Tokyo and return it in Tokyo. Also, my sister will need assistance with getting from Kansai Airport arrivals to the Nankai Express in order to get to Namba station where I will meet her. Do you have any advice on how to get wheelchair and luggage support for her from the arrivals terminal to the train? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

          • @shareekaangamia Since she is coming through Kansai Airport you can rent one at the airport: https://tidd.ly/4n2aDAe but it needs to be returned in Osaka. Perhaps @davidhase1 can suggest an option for returning in Tokyo…

Airport staff will help up until baggage claim, but she would be on her own after that. If she would like an accessible cab, they could meet her at the airport.

        • Hello, thank you very much for your inquiry about the JOY Cart.

There is no significant performance difference between the shield-type and the removable-type batteries, but considering charging at hotels and similar places, the removable-type may be slightly more convenient.

If you would like to rent in Osaka and return in Tokyo, unfortunately it is difficult to use the rental service from the ANA counter at Kansai International Airport. The return is also set for Kansai International Airport.

Therefore, as a general rule, reservations would need to be made through our website. We can deliver to the front desk of your designated hotel on the specified date. The return can also be arranged from the hotel of your final stay.

If you could kindly provide your travel dates and accommodation details (whether it is a regular hotel or an Airbnb), we would be happy to advise you on the best way to proceed.
