I’m Tyrone Starkie, the CEO of the nonprofit organization Community Heroes. I was born with Merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy. I obtained my Associate’s Degree in Human Service Technology from Wayne Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from North Carolina Wesleyan College, a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology with a Teaching Psychology specialization. I currently work at Wayne Community College.
