A wheelchair just flew inside an airplane cabin for the first time
Airbus tested their Airspace U Suite wheelchair securement system on an actual flight last month – an A350 test aircraft. An Airbus employee who uses a power chair rolled onboard and sat in his own wheelchair during the flight. It’s the first time that’s ever happened.
