Hello, Guys. I am considering the possibility of solo traveling to japan in a wheelchair. I have traveled alone before, but never internationally. My biggest concern, as you can imagine, is my wheelchair breaking, so I would like to know if there is any type of insurance or other type of company that could provide help in an emergency like…

I’m not aware of any insurance, but emergency repairs can happen. It would depend on your wheelchair though. Can you share the type?

Boa noite Vinicius, tudo bem?
Josh just told me about your post and I couldn’t help but notice you mentioned that you have a Brazilian chair? I am edging ever closer to needing to purchase a new chair myself, here in RS. Do you have any recommendation for me? I am a manual wheelchair user. Which brand is the best here, would you say? I have…- View 1 reply

Hello. Situation is spouse’s knees have kind of given out over last 6 months, with one in line for a replacement and other not responding to PT. Results in pain, issues with distance and hills. (a year ago was walking 2 or more miles for exercise.) Uses a cane, must rest due to knees.

Hello, i would like to know if there is a possibility to rent a mobility scooter in one airport and return it in another airport. And if this possibilty exist, with which company/es?
Thanks a lot.
Avital
ANA is apparently working on an option for that but I’m not sure if it is ready.
I believe @ohayotravel can do it with a light weight power wheelchair (not scooter) as can TokudAw Inc, but I think both must be delivered to a hotel, not an airport…

As Josh mentions, it is unfortunately difficult for us to deliver it to airports. To my knowledge there is no supplier who could rent at a airport and collect it at another airport.
