Assistance with Contacting a Concert Organizer
Hello everyone,
I am a disabled traveler from Taiwan. I have severe congenital Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), which means I have a very short stature, and I rely primarily on a power wheelchair to get around. I am planning a trip to Tokyo, arriving on June 1st, and I have two questions I am hoping to get some help with.
Question 1: Assistance…

Yes, the general method is to buy tickets and then call the concert producers. (And they often have very specific hours.) It is done verbally with whoever is one the line, so most likely only Japanese…
Depending on the concert, they may ask for everyone’s names but will at least ask for 1 name. Once the seats are assigned you would call again…

Leaving a scooter outside a restaurant or shop in Japan.
Hi Everyone,
my name is Oliver and I have cerebral palsy.
So I’m going to Japan in late November to early December for about two weeks and am super excited. I will most likely bring a scooter called DashMoto 3. I can walk, but I can’t do it for long periods of time and I will be going with a group of friends as well.
My main concern is if I go to…
View more commentsGood question. Following as I’d like to know if it is okay to secure the scooter with a bike lock at front too. I suspect it will depend on space in front of the restaurant etc. keen to know what others have experienced
1Would love to know as well. I posted a similar question in a FB group since I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user. Folks said it is ok and safe to leave it outside (I think the challenge would be if the sidewalk is narrow)

Electric Bed Hotel
Hi,
I’m trying to find a hotel in Tokyo with a non-smoking universal twin room with an electric bed. We have found a few but they’re either financially prohibitive, or not available for our stay in September.
Apart from trawling lots of individual websites, does anyone have recommendations so that I can narrow down my search.
Thanks
View more commentsI have also been planning a trip for September. I have already done a ton of searching but so far I have a few good options for Tokyo. IDK your budget but I hope this helps narrow your search.

cherche lève personne TOKYO
Bonjour.

Air Pump
My wheelchair tires take 120 psi. Can I get them ‘topped up’ in Japan easily or should I bring my pump ? Gas stations, etc. in Canada only go to 100 psi.
View more commentsI’m not sure what my tires take (I use an Invacare power wheelchair), and Japan uses kPA instead of PSI, but I have filled up my tires at bicycle shops many times here. They are very kind and do it for free. There are also tonnes of them, so you shouldn’t need to search very hard.
Many shops like Donki have cheap pumps for sale as well if in…
I use a manual wheelchair and plan to take my USB chargeable tyre pump, its called a ‘Fumpa Pumpa’ mini. My tyres are around 110 psi.
Although, the fumpa is a usb battery re-chargeable and not a manual pump so I’ll probably need to check it can be packed into luggage. Its only about half the size of an iPhone so easy packing.
