It can be controversial, but Yasukuni Shrine is very accessible (once on the grounds, there is a hill up to it though). There are ramps up to the sanctuary as well.- View 1 reply

I learned a bit about them oddly from a visit in the Japan section of Epcot in Disney World, they had a section of the shop selling oysters guaranteed to have pearls and the salesperson was explaining a bit about these divers.
