Can someone tell me how to book a wheelchair seat for the Shinkansen online? I am going to Kyoto from Hakata next month and would like to book early to ensure a smooth trip.

Hello to all, I’m Gaven from Germany. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user with mainly syncopes and neuropathy.
Next week is my first big trip and first time flight with my wheelchair. (Japan/Tokyo is the destination)
Looking forward to be a part of the community 👋

Hi from a fellow traveler from Germany! We are also on the way to Tokio today so maybe we can meet up if you like! For how long are you there?

Hi everyone – we are posting very often in the Romania group: https://www.tabifolk.com/groups/romania/.
It would be great if more people joined! We’re giving the Japan group a good run for its money!! 🙂
Just joined!
We visited the National Museum, which is beautifully designed, and the old palace. Yesterday we went for a hike along the Han River. Today we’re heading to Tokyo. I’m really excited!
That looks amazing!
How was the accessibility in your opinion?
For me accessibility was fine. The busses are a bit crowded and not all of them are equipped with ramps but if you wait for some minutes you can take a ride. Other than that everything else was very smooth.
