Airport Transfer
Where are arriving at Narita Airport in March at 6pm and need to get to our hotel (Mimaru Tokyo Ikebukuro). We are one adult in manual wheelchair, one abled body adult and one 14 year child. We will have one suitcase each and small electric wheelchair attachment (batek) – weighs 12 kg.
What is the best way to do this…
Booked Taxi? Train?…

Thanks for your message. We’ve helped guests travel from Narita Airport to a Mimaru hotel before.
In general, the best options are either the train or a wheelchair-accessible care taxi (ramp van). Considering you’ll have suitcases as well, I think a wheelchair-accessible care taxi would be the most comfortable and convenient…

Any must do’s in Dubai and Abu Dhabi that are also wheelchair accessible? We are three adults traveling together in December.
View more commentsI went there 2 year ago. It is 100% made for us wheelchair users (well is was built flat on a desert)
We visited the Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world)
We had drinks at the top of the Burj Al Arab (worlds only 7* hotel))
The Dubai mall (they have an Olympic size ice rink which I went on)
Just outside the mall and Burj Khalifa is the man…
2Thanks!

Bamberg: I am impressed!
Over the holidays, my husband and I visited several Christmas markets in Germany. Accessibility is always a challenge in historic places but I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight a fully accessible toilet AND changing facilities at the tourist center in Bamberg. It is so encouraging to see installations like this!
That is amazing – especially at a historic place!
1This is wonderful to see!
